Academics
Critical thinking built through a variety of classes.

Encore offers a creative learning environment combining intensive studies of arts education with intensive pre college academic classes. The goal of Encore is to help Encore students learn how to juggle academics and career experiences / expertise. If a student learns how to multi task using both academic and career skills, they will become lifelong learners and successful after high school.

All students are assigned a Chromebook computer where most of their curriculum derives. Encore is a traditional seat based campus with limited enrollment available for Independent Study and Hybrid Study. Starting in the fall of 2020, students will have access to their classes from home when they are sick and Independent Study students will be able to log on to a live classroom to watch lectures and participate in classes to get more in depth learning opportunities.

There are a variety of tracks that a person can enroll in for their academic program. If you are an average student, the traditional program makes the most sense. If you are an advanced student, there is access to completing courses ahead of time using online means as well as classes designated for Honors and Advanced Placement (AP). If you are a struggling student, there are multiple opportunities for remediation and credit recovery classes including summer school online every year. SPED students take part in a full inclusion model where they attend classes with the entire Encore population, then have access to strategy classes with their SPED teachers to help promote social, educational, and emotional growth.

The students of Encore get to "choose their own adventure" for their high school career to help them prepare for college, careers, and life after high school.
