For the instrumental musicians at Encore High School, music helps them write the story to their soul.  It is a way to communicate.  Instrumental musicians of Encore work toward fundamental mastery of at least one musical instrument and usually graduate with the ability to play four or more instruments.  Theory is a strong element of the music conservatory because becoming a working, professional musician requires the ability to sight read and communicate through the theory of music.

Encore welcomes students that may not have any background in instrumental music and want to learn.  There is a history of developing young enthusiasts into instrumental musicians that have ultimately been able to transfer their training into college scholarships and university acceptance.

If you are an experienced instrumental musician, Encore can help you further your musical abilities to help build your professional and semi-professional resumes.  As an experienced musician, you have the opportunity to widen your knowledge to many instruments and perhaps join the semi professional group, “The Street Band.”  There are master classes, field trips that are instrumental music based, and a variety of bands that you can join.

There is also a direct program for both guitar and piano within the music conservatory.  Guitar and piano are the staples for composers and songwriters worldwide and having extended knowledge on how to play combined with music theory will help musician advance their careers in music.

The purpose of the instrumental music arts conservatory is to give students that are enthusiastic about an arts programs based around instrumental music an opportunity to explore artistic careers within the music industry.  The theory, timing, performance expertise, and instrument mastery taught within the instrumental music Arts Conservatory can cross over into many of the other conservatories to diversify career training, but is also a stand- alone training field for students wishing to pursue a music career after high school.
