As this summer feels a lot like an episode of "The Twilight Zone" there is only so much Fortnite that you can play before you need a change of scenery. Summer is always a great time to take a break from school, but it is also a great time to learn how to fall in love with reading. High school students that read during the summer months tend to score higher on important tests like the SAT, ACT, and AP exams. It also helps expand vocabulary, grammar, and use of the language. The more you read, the more successful you will be in school and in future careers. Today's blog is going to give you some great summer reading lists AND the list of novels that are read in the high school English classes. If you love reading, see how many on this list you can get through. If you struggle with reading, start reading the novels that you will have to read during the school year so it will be easier for you. Encore's High School reading lists are here. Happy Summer!
