Cirque Dance Highlights

As I continue with the reporting recap from this month's Encore School Board meeting, this quick report is from our Department Chair for our Cirque and Dance Departments. Remember, you are always invited to attend a school board that generally happen on the second Monday of every month.

Cirque/Dance Highlights

The Cirque and Dance Department has been very successful in training students andgiving them the skills to pursue their art after their time at Encore has come to an end, whether itbe through acceptance to a college program or moving straight into the workforce. Encorestudents have used the training they received at Encore to audition and be accepted to thefollowing college programs: Circadiam Cirque School, University of Redlands Cheer Team,Bloomington University, and the Young Americans. Other students have gone on to performwith companies such as The Great Y CIrcus and Sharp International. Encore Dance Teams arealso extremely successful at competitions across Southern California. Our Hip Hop team wonsecond overall at WCE Nationals in 2019 and also had 3 soloists place in the top 10 overall atthe same competition. Our Varsity Dance Team’s jazz routines placed FIrst Overall at SharpRegionals in 2020. As a department I feel we teach our students excellent training that givesthem the proper tools to propel them to the next level of their career.
