COVID Planning for Fall: Encore's Hybrid Program


Whether you are planning for the fall in the midst of the COVD-19 pandemic or were looking for a tailored education to meet your specific needs, the rapidly gaining popularity Hybrid program might be the perfect combination of seat based study and independent study programs. Encore has been developing and perfecting their Hybrid academic program for the last two years and is prepared to the meet the needs of students wanting flexibility in their school schedule.


A hybrid schedule calls for students to be on campus for part of the week and then to study from home for the other part of the week. The way that Encore's schedule is built, students come on campus two to three days per week and then study independently on the other days of the week.


Encore has plans to have live classes for Independent Study students during the week, much like how they did the classes during the Distance Learning sessions that happened during the COVID-19 shutdown in April. In the fall, Encore will have a "TV Guide" listing for classes that will be available via Zoom for students from home to be able to take part in. Then, students can choose to participate in a variety of on campus classes to maximize their studies (both academics and arts). This Hybrid program gives students the flexibility to create their own schedule, register to go to community college as a junior and senior, and even get a job. In 2020, students need the flexibility to choose their own adventure.
