Do you know about the fine print?

Encore Education Corporation has spent a lot of time during the 19/20 school year and even more time since the COVID pandemic broke out updating the communication mechanisms for parents and students. We have been working to make purposeful websites that connect between each other, but do not convolute the purpose for each website. There are countless hours of work that goes into policies, procedures, marketing, enrollment, curriculum, programs, and just overall communication within the organization and to potential clients / families / students of the organization. It can all get a little daunting sometimes. Where Encore has started to streamline websites (we actually have four different sites for the organization), we hope that this approach is helpful in making sure that you can reach the information that you are looking for. All of the links for all of the websites are on the primary encorehighschool.com website under the menu subheading "Links."

Today's insight is being delivered specifically about the encoreedcorp.com website. This website is currently undergoing extensive updates as Encore prepares for a WASC mid-cycle visit and a renewal with HUSD. This is where Encore's programs are defined for the private investors that funded the bond that purchased the Hesperia property and where anyone can go to see up to date logisitics and program thoughts. For lack of better description, it is where the "fine print" is. I wanted to highlight this website because we are very proud of the progress that has been made on this website over the summer. I thought you might want to check it out.

If you go to https://www.encoreedcorp.com/measurable-student-outcomes you can see the results from Encore's data committee that is compiling and disaggregating test scores so we can work on improvement. You can see where Encore stands in relation to neighboring districts and schools. This page has had multiple updates this week and is still adding more as the committee is publishing their results. It is great to see where we are in relation to neighborhood schools. The data that is being compiled with the team will be published here, but from this publishing of data professional development and discussions will stem to help teachers know where to put focus on improvement for our students. Encore uses this data (and benchmark/internal test data to drive changes on how courses are paced and planned.

If you go to https://www.encoreedcorp.com/financial-planning you can see where the budget projections are and the quarterly reports that are posted to EMMA for the investment firms that manage the bond that purchased the school campus. It also talks about how Encore accounts for all funding and the levels of security to make sure that everything balances.

One of the nicest things about this website is that policies and procedures that were written and posted into a book available on campus prior are now available by perusing through this website. Another example is that if you visit https://www.encoreedcorp.com/health-and-safety-procedures you can see what Encore's procedures are for things like background checks, mandated child abuse reporting and training, and suicide prevention.

There is so much procedural information available on the encoreedcorp.com website. If you ever have any questions on "the fine print" I hope that you will take the time to visit the encoreedcorp.com website. This site will continue to have more information added to it as final preparations are made for WASC and renewal. We want you to have access to this work along the way.
