With the implementation of California Dashboard, Encore has been making moves from Honors courses for juniors and seniors to Advanced Placement (AP) courses. While this move has pros and cons for the students, the Dashboard is guiding the selection of AP. However, Encore students are rising to the occasion.
Encore is showing a three year growth in AP (prior to the Covid experience) that was worth showing off. Encore has shown tremendous growth in three years, with continued growth planned for the upcoming school year. Encore offers several Honors and AP programs for students that are looking to move ahead for college and career readiness as well as concurrent enrollment with local community colleges. Encore is making sure that students can "choose their own adventure" when it comes to their education.
