Back to school is just around the corner. With school starting so differently this school year, I thought it might be helpful for everyone if I shared with you important dates and expectations so we can all be prepared and on the same page for the first day of school. If you are ever looking for special events, you can always go to https://www.encorehighschool.com/calendar to get the latest event updates. Thank you for helping us make sure everyone is ready.
DO NOW - COURSE SELECTION: If you have not already done the quick and easy online course selection, please go to https://www.encorehighschool.com/copy-of-admissions to select your classes. Most of you have now completed this, but we are still getting new ones every day. This is the key to getting into the classes you want.
INLAND EMPIRE DEVICE DAY: Thursday, September 3 - If you are one of our Inland Empire students, you will be able to pick up your Chromebooks and your first quarter novels at this time. Make sure that you RSVP for the event, or contact us to let us know you are unable to attend. If you already have your Chromebook from summer school, please contact Ms. Julia Dolf jdolf@encorehighschool.com so we can make sure you get your English novels.
PARENT FAQ MEETING: Thursday, September 3 - This is going to be a presentation update on how school will start this year. We will be going through the CDC and state guidance and how it reflects on Encore.

New Student Orientation: September 11 - This will be a virtual presentation to give you a chance to meet the teachers and counselors. You will also learn how to log on to your classes and use Encore's education platforms.
Senior Sunrise: September 18 - Encore's senior class is planning a senior sunrise to take place on September 11th. Stay tuned for more details.

Even though everyone will be starting school off campus, if you are the choices COVID, Traditional, or Hybrid, you will need to log on to classes in real time for attendance. If you need guidance on this, please contact your interim Dean of Students, Mr. Johnny Griffin jgriffin@officerteam.com or your counselor.
