So Happy Together - Science & Arts



As the world of education changes, major universities are increasingly offering different degree structures that combine arts and science. Universities are understanding that what used to be polar opposites (science degrees and arts degrees) should not stand alone for a student to be successful in the changing workplace in the new century.


According to theconversation.com, science students learn about methods for testing hypotheses and interpreting conclusions from data. Art students learn how to develop arguments, understand the minds of diverse audiences, and how to communicate to help persuade people to change their minds.


In this new technology based world, double degrees and combining curricula is becoming more popular and creating more successful people because they are more well-rounded.

Transdisciplinary thinking at the University is a fairly new concept, but gaining traction rapidly. University of New South Wales (UNSW) explains, “employers repeatedly point to the complex nature of modern work environment and advise that they highly value graduates with the skills provided by a broad general education.” This education promotes graduates to have completed subjects outside of their faculties in two to four subjects.


Encore offers intense training in both science and arts. Whether students are exploring AP or honors tracks in math and science or advanced levels in arts, the completion of both successfully sets them up for a bright future.
