What Is Your Brand? - Professional Artist Development Master Class Tomorrow

The world and the job market is an increasingly harder niche to fit in. Emergence of social media as the primary way of communication both personally and commercially has changed how everyone does business (and personal life). Learning how to make yourself seen in an overcrowded community online can be difficult to say the least. As an artist, making your mark on a seemingly endless pool of artists on social media is critical to the seriousness and the success of your arts career.

It doesn't matter what your talent is or how you want to position yourself as an artist. What is important is that you are positioning yourself as an artist where relevant people can see you. This also means that you have to figure out who you are as an artist and what brand you want to share with the social media world.

As a candidate employee and especially as a first time employee (everyone has to start somewhere) there are branding tricks that will help you gain the competitive edge over another teenager that is applying for the same job. In a sea of people wanting the job, how do you stand out?

Jonathan George, CEO of JG Entertainment, has spent the past 20 years creating, developing, and launching singers with over 150 million online followers. His artists are signed to Universal, Sony, Interscope, Disney, and Nickelodeon, as well as on shows American Idol, America’s Got Talent, and The Voice.

He currently has Makayla Phillips in Top 10 on American Idol as well as Top 20 Nick Merico.

Encore will be hosting a special Live Virtual event on Thursday, May 14 at 11:30 am to help Encore's young artists answer these questions.

At this special online master class, Jonathan George will be going through how to prepare yourself as a brand and how to put yourself forward as a great candidate employee, artist, actor, singer, dancer, or however you wish to be contracted or employed.   He will be working with the group to go over how be found on social media and how to present a clear picture of who you are to potential employers, managers, and agents.

This master class is free to attend.  Encore was offering this event LIVE at Encore Con this year.  Since Encore Con was cancelled due to Covid-19, Encore is offering this event virtually to help artists with their potential growth. To reserve your space at this special event, click on https://www.encorehighschool.com/calendar.
